Our work consists of two parts – educational seminars and legal help. People come to us under extraordinary circumstances. It is not uncommon that young men are illegally forced into army service. (Situation in Russia ). Sometimes soldiers of the active service come to us when they escape from the military because they have been tortured and beaten. We help them find legal protection, as they often lack the money for it. Our lawyers and staff explain how to act in order to communicate safely and effectively with the authorities. We help young men in many different situations - those whose medical problems are not recognized by the army, those who suffer physical abuse and psychological trauma at the hands of their superiors, and those who are used as forced labor for the personal benefit of military personnel.
Our organization struggles to end the tyranny of the military and its associated medical institutions because violate our sons' human rights.

Our educational work :
1. Twice a week there are lectures of the “Human Rights School” for the conscripts, soldiers of the active service and their family. Russian citizens learn about their rights in connection with military conscription. They find out how they can make use of the laws that protect them. The aim of this school is to teach people how to become active, engaged citizens in civil society and to heighten their self confidence in dealing with the authorities. Those who attend the school then go on to share their knowledge, experience, and methods with others in need.

2. The educational seminars: Medical seminars, legal seminars, psychological seminars, seminars on security for men of conscription

3. Publishing activities: Our work is compiled in the brochure “Protecting Soldiers' Rights.” The publication of the book The Army and Me was a result of collective action - it was prepared by sociologists and the letters and recollections of the people they interviewed. The book analyzes the problems inherent in the Russian military, researches the present public opinion of the army, and details the life stories of several soldiers.
